The Dogs of Fall

The weather is getting cooler and our girl and four guys are making great progress at Encore! Check out their stories. These pups are from Calhoun County Humane Society.

UPDATE: Sweet Roxie is getting more comfortable, to the point where she even did some mini-zoomies in the play yard. Good dog! Once she knows you, Roxie is an absolute cuddle bug. And we’ve noticed she avoids climbing up on stuff.

UPDATE: Who loves everyone? Yep, Aspen. He’s got such a nice low to medium energy level and he’s learned all his basic commands. He will play a little, then settles down for a visit or nap.

UPDATE: This big ole baby can’t get enough of cuddling with his human friends. Atlas also loves to play with toys. But the whole leash walking thing is still a work in progress for this hunky guy. He does know “sit” and down.”

UPDATE: We’re not sure, but we believe Neptune is thinking “Ball!  Ball!  Throw the ball! Get the ball. Love the ball. Ball!” He would play fetch all day. He will readily drop one ball to chase another, but we are working on the “give” command to make sure he doesn’t get too possessive of a single ball. Neptune’s getting better at meeting new people and likes petting from people he knows.

UPDATE: Cooper loves toys! We’re working with him on the kennel up and wait commands. This year old boy is smart and sassy. He likes to bark at our cat Hemi through the fence. Cut that out, Cooper.
