Noah, Rea, and Shelby

By Whitney Martin

Hey guys, meet my new friend Noah! He is a white and tan boxer/ bulldog mix. Noah is around five years old and weighs about 50 pounds. He can be a grumpy ole man and touch sensitive sometimes. However, once you break down his wall, he’s so loving and sweet. Noah would rather have your attention than to play with toys. But, treats are his overall favorite.

Noah is smart but demanding. He doesn’t like to work for free. He knows sit, down, and speak. We are working to get him to speak on command, because he has a habit of hollering when he doesn’t get his way. Noah is doing very well on his loose leash walking. And that face – SO cute!

Next meet Rea! She’s a tan and white boxer. Rea is around three to four years old and weighs about 40 pounds. She came from a hoarder and has had several litters of puppies. Even though her background isn’t great, she still has the most loving soul. Snuggles and treats are her favorite. Rea plays fetch, but only with certain toys. She prefers the squishy squeakers over the rubber toys.

Rea doesn’t know her basic commands yet, but she aims to please so learning should be a breeze. She is already progressing on her loose leash walking and learning to take treats gently. Rea really enjoys your attention and affection because it’s something she never had. She even tolerated a bath because it came with two people loving on her throughout it!

Say hey to Shelby! She is a white and brindle American bulldog/ boxer mix. Shelby is around two years old and weighs about 50 pounds. She is a complete ball of energy. Shelby is very playful. She loves squeaky toys and treats. But your attention is her favorite.

Shelby knows sit. She likes to be the leash leader, so we are working on loose leash walking. Shelby is a bit snatchy, but is learning quickly how to be more gentle when taking treats. She is dog selective, so she picks and chooses who she gets along with. Although Shelby has a wild side, she has a calm side as well. She enjoys snuggles and kisses. In fact, she prefers to take up your personal space. If you or someone you know is interested in Shelby, please visit her at the Rocking P Boxer Rescue!
