It’s a sunny Week 1 Monday and we are thrilled to welcome some great dogs from Calhoun County Humane Society! Actually, three have been here before and two are new. Remember who?

So so handsome, is four year old black and white American bulldog Bodie. This guy has been at the shelter over two years and would love to land himself in a great family home, where he would be the only pet and get all the attention! His first visit to Encore was a year ago.

Meet Luna, a cute three year old mix with a beautiful merle and white coat. She’s ready to hit the reset button on her former life, which involved being chained up a lot before she was surrendered to the shelter. We had several visitors from ERA King at Encore today and Luna lit up the play yard while they were here, even getting her picture taken with the whole crew!

Welcome back, Dove – we’re so glad you here to keep working on building confidence and meeting new people. Dove is a grey and white mix that may be part Whippet or Greyhound. She’s three years old and was a stray brought to the shelter in 2019. She has the cutest habit of tucking her two front feet under her when she lays down in her crate.

This is also Pharaoh’s second visit to Encore. He is a 10 year old blue pit bull with a gentle soul. Pharaoh loves treats and attention. He may have allergies or something else causing hair loss on his back legs and tail. Sadly, this sweet guy has spent most of his life in the shelter. Yet he still has kindness in his heart and a tail wag and kiss for anyone who will give him some attention.

Say hey to the newcomer of the bunch – three year old lab mix Cosmo is a stray that has only been at CCHS for a couple months. He’s all black with just a spot of white on his chest, and a nice compact medium size. He’s funny and always smiling.
