Friday Featured Dog – Olive

Olive close up

What does Olive have in common with Queen Elizabeth? As it turns out, a lot!

  • they are both English (Olive hails as an English Bull Dog mix; all hail the purebred Queen)

  • they are both senior citizens (Olive is 10-11 years old. The Queen is 93 – that’s 13-14 years old in dog years…)

  • they both still have energy and spunk, but also appreciate some quiet time with close friends and family

  • they can look very serious, but when they smile, the world smiles with them

And that’s about where the similarities end. The queen looks smashing in a hat, but we haven’t tried one on Olive yet. And Olive is great at catching treats in mid-air. Not sure if Queen Elizabeth has conquered that.

Also, Queen Elizabeth has a fantastic palace to call home. Olive has been at the Calhoun County Humane Society for years. To Olive, any loving home and family would be a true palace and a dream come true. If you are looking for a dog to be a loyal, royal addition to your life, consider adopting this charming girl. And send us a picture of how she looks in a hat!

Olive is available for adoption or rescue at Calhoun County Humane Society.
