Dogs For Adoption

Angel and Rusty

The goal of Encore is to get shelter dogs adopted. While we do have a 53% success rate there are still many wonderful dogs available.  All dogs that come into Encore can be located on our Success Story page or our Adoptable Dogs Page.  If you are considering adopting please take a look a these wonderful animals.  Any Encore graduate adopted gets two free lessons with the adoptive family and the dog to better help the transition!

Encore Theme Song

Our theme song at Encore is from the re-release of the movie Benji on Netflix last year. It’s called “Almost Home,” and the songwriters are Stephen Bishop and Curt Sobel. (Google them and you’ll see Stephen has written and performed some huge hits, and Curt has edited music for some major Hollywood films.) Stephen and Curt are rescue and shelter dog lovers, and they generously agreed that we could use the song as the background music for a video about the work we do at the Center. We like to think that when the shelter dogs are here, they are almost home, and we help prepare them for the next step – that forever home and family.

If you haven’t checked out the video please take a minute to view it below.  It is also on YouTube. Please watch it and if you like it, share it with a friend. And if you really like it, please help us continue to do good work by donating to our cause – you can do that at the Ways to Help page of our website. Encore is a 501c(3) non-profit organization and your donations are tax deductible, and very much appreciated!

Meet the Dogs

We work with the same group of 4-6 dogs for a week, to prepare them for adoption or rescue. We drive to the shelter in the morning, pick up the designated dogs, bring them to the Center and spend the day working with them. We return them each afternoon.

Ways to Help

There are many ways to support Encore Enrichment Center and the dogs.  We accept monetary donations, have a wish list for needed items, we always are looking for volunteers, and now we have our Shopping page that allows you to shop with some of the largest vendors, such as Target, and still support EEC.
