A Daily Look at Encore
Encore in Need
The Encore Enrichment Center for Shelter Dogs was established to help local animal shelters save more dogs by improving their chances for adoption and retention in loving forever homes.
Dogs For Adoption
The goal of Encore is to get shelter dogs adopted. While we do have a 60% success rate there are still many wonderful dogs available. All dogs that come into Encore can be located on our Success Story page or our Adoptable Dogs Page. If you are considering adopting please take a look a these wonderful animals. Any Encore graduate adopted gets two free lessons with the adoptive family and the dog to better help the transition!
Meet the Dogs
We work with the same group of 5-6 dogs for two weeks, to prepare them for adoption or rescue. We drive to the shelter in the morning, pick up the designated dogs, bring them to the Center and spend the day working with them. We return them each afternoon.
Our services range from private and group dog classes in obedience, nose work, and puppy training to hands on work with shelter dogs including basic obedience, supervised play time outside, getting used to new people, K9 Nose Work®, playing with enrichment toys, and baths. We also have rooms available to rent for dog or people events.
Ways to Help
There are many ways to support Encore Enrichment Center and the dogs. We accept monetary donations, have a wish list for needed items, we always are looking for volunteers, and now we have our Shopping page that allows you to shop with some of the largest vendors, such as Target, and still support EEC.
